Salesforce Lightning App - Finance Manager
I recently switched to an online banking app and I was fascinated by the level of transparency, visual organization, and ease of use. The overall user experience has been excellent.
Admittedly, for the purposes of a good learning exercise, I was inspired to try and recreate a similar user experience in Salesforce with the goal of tracking and visually reporting my personal finances.
The result: Finance Manager - one of the first Salesforce Lightning Apps I created to reinforce my early understanding of object relationships, formulas, roll-up summary fields, reports and dashboards.

Welcome to the Finance Manager custom login page!
The home dashboard displays spending insights, balances, and recent activity.
The Activity tab lists all recent transactions.
The Activity object has two Master-Detail relationships, withCategory and Account.
The Categories list view displays a quick overview of activity per category.
Roll-up summary fields calculate the total received and spending per category.
The Accounts list view with roll-up summary and balance formula field.
